UBL Cell of University of Kelaniya Successfully Completes Phase 4 Evaluation
We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the phase 4 evaluation of the University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell at the University of Kelaniya. This significant milestone was achieved on June 8, 2023, at the Senate room of our esteemed university.
The evaluation event, conducted under the auspices of the Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operations of the University Grants Commission (UGC), provided a platform for all AHEAD grant winners from Results Area 3 to showcase their research outcomes. The evaluation process was expertly guided by Mr. Prasanna S. Ekanayake, an esteemed Attorney-at-Law from E W Associates, and Mr. Sanjeewa Gunawardena, the Executive Director of E B Creasy & CO PLC, Darley Butler & Co Ltd, and Laxapana Batteries PLC.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva (Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya), Professor Thusitha Abeytunga (Lead Academic Expert in Research & Innovation of AHEAD Operations), Mr. K. K. K. Dharmathilaka (Registrar of the University of Kelaniya), Dr. M. Amila Thusha K. Munasinghe (Director of the OTS – University of Kelaniya), Dr. Pradeep Samarasekere (Director of the UBL Cell), Deans of the faculties, Heads of the Departments, as well as the dedicated AHEAD team, academic staff, research assistants, and commercial partners associated with the UBL Cell.
