University of Kelaniya and Orel Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Sign Groundbreaking License Agreements!
The University of Kelaniya signed five license agreements with Orel Corporation Pvt Ltd on the 21st of June 2023 at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of the University of Kelaniya. The University Business Linkage (UBL) cell hosted the signing ceremony.
Of the five license agreements signed, the first license agreement centers around a granted local patent (21656) for a system and method enabling addressable data communication using RF communication. This technology offers a robust solution for efficient data transmission and communication. Orel Corporation has been granted the right to utilize this technology in residential IoT, industrial IoT, and smart hydroponic systems.
The remaining license agreements revolve around a neutral-less smart switch and around a patented technology (22450) LP Gas sensitive safety electrical switch for safety in liquid petroleum gas (LPG)/propane environments. This innovative electrical switch ensures sensitive and reliable safety measures in LPG/propane-related applications.
